Quick Observation
Got bouncy on the Evelyn runs today, great skiing overall. The turns in the upper portion of treeline were good, nothing spooky there, but we managed to rip out a significant section of 9a. Where the steep convexity is about 100m down the run (well below treeline) one of our group ripped out the left side of the run, which ran for approx 50ft on the feature. Expecting a result, we skied the other side of the run which did release and ran out for the same distance. 30-40cm deep, failing on what seems to be the recent hoarfrost layer. That feature in the run is short and considerably steeper than the rest of the run. We felt some whumfing at the top of that run, still in the trees.
