Collapsing
widespread

We had light rain off and on throughout the day. This formed a 4mm ice crust on the surface, and the 8" (20cm) became damp and sticky due to above-freezing temperatures. We chose to ski terrain due to observing the rapid warming of the snowpack and widespread collapsing. Widespread, dramatic collapsing, observed trees shaking 20-30ft away from the large whumphfs

Snowpack

We dug a test pit on a west-facing slope at 5500 ft. The height of the snow was 45" (115 cm). We had propagation in are extended column test 20" (50cm) down on buried surface hoar. ECTP23, 50 down on BSH 6mm
