Toured the source lake apron/chair peak basin area in the afternoon. Above 5000' there is noticeable wind effect. In open, unsheltered terrain there is ~8" of new snow exhibiting slab like qualities. On solar aspects this snow became very moist in the afternoon sun and can probably readily slide on steep rollovers - though I did not witness any recent slides except for a small wet loose noted above
