Snowpack

We dug a ECT pit on a Southern aspect at 7.5k. this pit is not a good representative of the overall snow pack depth. We picked an aspect that wind loaded to provide better coverage. MOST areas have far less snow! Our pit was 160cm deep with multiple well consolidated slabs separated by icey melt freeze crust. We had a failure at 60cm down on the surface between the top most slab and a 10cm icy layer, ECT 30TH.
