Quick report

Toured up and around Snoqualmie mtn environs. Not much traffic on the higher slopes over the past week as abysmal lower elevation conditions create a significant cost to entry. At 5k HS120 on S aspects, no easily identifiable 2/13 interface, but 30cm of dry loose powder lies on a stout 1cm boot supportable crust (presumably 2/7?). Upper 30cm is poorly adhered to crust , and steep slopes easily entrained loose dry snow and made for poor ski conditions, as any agressive turns were met with minimal resistance. Lower angles slopes skied well when clear from the canopy. Encountered a few small point releases but no slab activity. Plenty of snow available for transport this weekend. Summit winds and ridge top were minimal into late morning. Started misting rain as I was descending around 4500ft at 1430, but ceiling was 6k, so wondering how much rain on snow happened at higher elevations.
