Strong winds today. Although it was moving snow, snow still stuck to ridge crests that had some wind protection . Some instability on wind loaded NW slopes (soft and stout wind slabs cracking). Steep slopes were stripped of snow and either icy or very firm (but edge able). Snow was soft in wind sheltered places but snow widely varies from cold snow on stout rain crust, snow on sun crust, facets , soft chunder. We skied a NE couloir and it was extremely firm. Creeks are still uncovered but lakes are *mostly* frozen for crossing.
