Quick report
Day started sunny with winds as described. Around 330 pm clouds rolled in and winds picked up and visibility became flat. The skiing into cup lake remained good but a little wind affected on that N facing terrain. Encountered significant old debris off of steep solar aspects as traversed from cup lake down below treeline west of chiwaukum creek. Accessed water from open creek bed below larch lake around 5.7k
Avalanche
We experienced general northerly winds above treeline and at ridgeline. These winds affected the snow, whereas we did not experience that wind affect on Friday on similar aspects. We observed flagging at ridgelines. We triggered small wind slabs that appeared to be primarily limited to the recent snow on N/NE aspects. The observed activity did not cause us harm, but we did take note and were judicious with terrain management, particularly off of Snowgrass. Solar aspects quickly softened in the sun for safe travel. Did observe small rocks falling and rollerballs off of sun baked terrain.
