Quick report
@4400’ SE Aspect: Hn: 70cm on thin rain crust Hs: 165cm Ski pen: 35cm @3300 Hs: 80cm Overcast skies in the morning with S-1 snow showers. Broken skies in the afternoon. Sun breaks were minimal but did warm surface to form some slab cohesion on solar aspects. No signs of wind slab but all our travel was well below ridge lines. Travel in and out of the valley was arduous.
Avalanche
Many recent D1 storm slabs on convexities/unsupported slopes. Not full storm depth with most crowns ~25cm that likely triggered during heavy precip rates.
