Quick report
Skinned up to the Windy/Diamond Head saddle to traverse over and ski the far left side of Diamond Head. It was sunny all morning, and trees were shedding most of their snow. Got the the ridge at 11:15 and dropped in around noon. The east side of the ridge, where sun hit it all morning, was soft and mushy. But, no, I skied the other side. Though sun seemed to hit it for most of the morning, skiing off Diamond Head was crusty, heavy, and not that great. The shady stuff down in the trees has a substantial punchy crust and absolutely sucked. Still a great day.
