From Alpental, up phantom trees, cross over at 4K to across from Cave Ridge for a nice view and lunch. No other encountered, but some beautiful down tracks off south side of Guy Peak with up

Quick report

Warming full on sunshine day with snow pack melting out. High angle, south aspects moving below 5K, and still holding chill above. Watch for tree bombs as they won’t knock you out, but they’re wet/heavy and will certainly shake you up. Difficult new track setting on high angles and skiing down really not enjoyable, but beautiful terrain and wonderful exercise.

Avalanche

Wet slide debris, pinwheeling, and tree bombs in play. Most south 40+ angle slopes already slide, 30-40cm boot penetration, so wet/deep and on the move.
