Quick report
The last two weeks of almost constant above freezing temperatures has taken a serious toll on the Blues snowpack. Road beds were mostly uniform snow, however, the ground just next to the road was intermittent dirt and patchy snow. Over a dozen downed trees presented a serious travel challenge, and the chainsaw was handy. Slopes facing the sun had almost completely melted in some locations.

Snowpack
I travelled to just below 5000' and did not observe more than a foot of snow, even in sheltered areas. Some shady aspects had a firm, refrozen surface. Open terrain or terrain facing the sun was soft and slushy.
