SW wind was blowing strong at times in the morning. Found generally stable and right side up snow in sheltered terrain. Wind effect was evident above 5000’.
Avalanche
Witnessed skier triggered D2 avalanche from below on the East face of Mt Herman. Multiple crowns looked to be 1-2 feet deep and it ran to valley bottom. Luckily nobody was caught.
