Quick report
We could see a crown line from afar. Unaware if it was natural or skier triggered. We were probably 2 miles or more away. My guess is 6 inches to 1 foot in depth. Active wind loading in that terrain. Turbulent suspension was blowing the snow off the windward sides of Stevens and Red Lake. Strong SW winds. 3:30pm.
Avalanche
We could see a crown line on a notorious repeater place of Stevens peak from the meadow. Mid elevation on a leeward NE slope at 8700 ft. No size observed. Avalanche type unknown.
