Quick report

Strong NE winds continued today with lots of wind transport. I did not observe wind blown snow being deposited into consistent slabs where I traveled. Touring a variety of aspects, I encountered all imaginable snow surfaces, breakable crust, old rain crusts, wind board, sastrugi, and pockets of pow. N aspects exposed to the wind near ridges were stripped down to rain crusts from a week ago. More sheltered north facing terrain still held some cold snow. South aspects started to soften by noon in sheltered areas where it was not exposed to the cold wind.
