Quick Observation

Skis on above 1400m. Rained to mountain top in the area during the previous storm. Temps cooled off in the latter part of the storm (Oct. 25th) creating a 5cm thick melt-freeze crust with 10cm of dry snow on top. This crust caps 30cm of moist snow. Add the previous strong winds and the snow depth at treeline is 45-80cm. Ski conditions were good to terrible over the variable snow cover. Lots of steep, shiny slopes out there.

Avalanche Information

Loose wet activity out of steeps up to size 1.5
