Slim pickings

Emerald slide path is very thin low down! We aborted at 1500m. The snow is rotten to ground, just facets with a melt crust on top, with coverage being thin once you punch through the crust in a turn you’re at the mercy of the sharks underneath. Snow depth maybe 50cms at 1500m, the alders at the bottom are almost impossible to make it through. I imagine snow quality is better above the 1600m mark but we didn’t have the time after the slow travel up. As always, we need more snow!!!!
