Northwest Coastal

Skied Thunderbowl and Geronimo. Skiing was good on both (east facing) down to 1250m and where not wind affected. Below 1250mdd was a mixture of faceted surfaces and hard melt freeze crust. Weekend highway along the ridge was mostly blown in. Deliverance skin track was very difficult at the end of the day. Found fresh reactive windslabs to Sz 1.5 on lee slopes (south) well below the ridgeline. See picture from near Emotional Blackmail at 1400m while traversing around the Geronimo bump. No involvements. Crowns up to 20cm, bed surface faceted melt freeze crust. Ridge winds were strong northerly making for cold skinning. 2nd picture shows runout of Cherry Bowl. Appears to be very full from the last big cycle. Impressive!
