Open glade near ridgetop. Slab triggered 30 m above skier and carried them into a fence of dense trees. They were luckily buried upright with snow to their chest. The slab ran on a 6 mm thick sun crust with15 cm of faceted snow above which was covered by 25 cm of recent storm snow (including graupel). Due to the unconsolidated snow around trees, smaller avalanches can have large consequences right now. It would have been very hard to walk around and perform a rescue.
