Hiked to snow line (~1200m) then continued up on skis on the Canoe mountain road. Coverage on the road was consistent above 1500m. Reached a high point just shy of 2000m where there was about 5cm of fresh snow from yesterday. Dug a pit at 1965m on a northerly aspect sheltered from wind. Total snowpack depth was 175cm. Notable layers were a 3cm melt-freeze crust down 22cm and basal facets. CT23 resistant 25cm down on the bottom of the melt-freeze crust. CT26 sudden result down 125cm on facets.
