Quick Observation
Did the Hamilton-Emerald traverse on April 1st. We left the car at 7am and -2°C. It took us 4h to reach the col. A lot of old big avalanche debris in the trees on the way up. The sun started to be really warm around 10am. On the first part of the down section the snow was in amazing condition. Lots of tracks. For the second part of the down section, it was getting super warm and the snow was slushy. We released some small slabs on our passage. The last part of the slope was full of big avalanche debris. Back to the car at 2pm with +11°C. Amazing day despite the warmth.
