Beautiful day in Connaught Creek today. We went to the North side of 8812 bowl. On our way up we saw a signs of 2 slab avalanches that happened yesterday or the day before. Both avalanche were size 1 or smaller, starting from east aspect, one was natural the other was cause by a skier (picture). This was on hospital bowl @2000m. We did not see any more signs of instability on our way up and down. It was -4 on Bruins ridge around 1200. The North side was wind affected. Felt like skiing on styrofoam. We did not dig but on our transition we could observed that there was facet under the hard snow. It was -8 @2200 at 1300 o'clock. The ski on the south bowl was wind affected but still soft enough to be enjoyable.
