Took the skis for a walk up Bow Summit to see what conditions are like.
HS varied from 10-15cm at the trailhead (2100m) to 25-30cm at the upper end of treeline (2300m), deeper where trees have caught wind transported snow, but not by much.
Poking into the lower alpine we found less snow and soft ~10cm thick windslabs forming. Alpine slopes generally not in for travel by skis yet.
Spotted debris near the bottom of Grandaddy couloir, so evidently some extreme alpine features are at threshold for windslab avalanches.
Generally very early season conditions for travel by skis, but can be done if you aren't too attached to keeping your bases or body intact. If you must go, best coverage is found at treeline.
