Not a real observation day looking at snow, but a trip to work on the wx station. You have to have at least one stuck sled before the day gets going. Decided to park here and make our way to Lofty Peak on skis. We were unsuccessful at getting the wx station on line, but a stunning day.
Nothing too recent, but an older natural avalanche on a northeast facing slope around 11,000'. The Uintas are looking nice and white with generally supportable riding and turning even at the higher elevations around Bald Mt.
Snowpack
Feels like the snow pack is beginning to settle and consolidate a little allowing for decent travel on sleds at the higher elevations.
