Murchison Falls

No snow shoes needed for the approach, a bit icy in places but well trodden and straightforward. Snow seemed consolidated on the approach with no concern of avalanche. Ice was fat and mostly good. Quite brittle on the 2nd pitch, we went a bit far left and had to traverse right to get to the cave belay. Pretty cruddy ice on most of that but enough good ice for screws. Money pitch was fantastic, dry and good quality. Sadly we bailed off from the top of that pitch as the sun was hitting the big hanging daggers and we had Maria’s close call from a few weeks ago in mind. Think you could see the big gap that block left
