Witnessed a relatively large avalanche rip off the headwall above the Bonney Glacier around noon, on a north-northeast facing slope. We were transitioning on the moraines as it happened. Cloud cover made it difficult to observe the start zone, best guess would be cornice fall or glide crack. Finished transitioning and skied down some light powder on north aspects with some thin crust on east aspects.
