Lizard Range and Flathead

Expected to find wind hammered, tracked out conditions but were pleasantly surprised by 20cm of soft snow and good powder turns in sheltered areas post holiday buzz. Played in small, steep rocky, features and meadows. 63cm total snowpack at 2010m. Consolidated mid-pack sitting on 5cm crust with facets below on rocky bed surface. ECT results 25 sudden planar. Large cornices visible on ridgetop.
Snow conditions were: Powder. Weather conditions were: Stormy, Cloudy. We rode: Alpine slopes, Mellow slopes, Convex slopes, Steep slopes, Open trees. Riding quality was good.
