We dug our pit @ ~1700m NE aspect on 35° slope. Storm slab of 30cm depth poorly bonded to buried slab of another 30m depth. 1cm depth facets ontop of rain crust found at ~85cm depth We had 2x RCT 14 at a depth of 60cm. Our ECT showed no significant results and our Rutschblock test came back with a 30cm planar release simply from the skier stepping out onto the block. We decided to turn around
Snow conditions were: Deep powder. Weather conditions were: Cloudy, Foggy, Stormy. We rode: Mellow slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Alpine slopes, Convex slopes. Riding quality was amazing.
