More Powder Less Wind Please!

Noticed a recent wind slab had released in a north facing alpine bowl (sorry photo is blurry!) Unsure of the age but we guessed it had occurred within the last few days. The day was stormy in the morning depositing a few cm's of new snow but not enough to cover up old tracks. Riding in the alpine is hard packed due to strong recent winds. We dug a quick snow profile in a sheltered spot below treeline on an east facing slope and found a weak layer of surface hoar down 40cm. It was reacting with hard and stubborn results in our tests and looked to potentially only be an isolated problem in this area. Fingers crossed we get a decent dump of new snow soon to improve the riding quality out there!
Weather conditions were: Stormy. Riding quality was ok.
Avalache Conditions: Slab avalanches today or yesterday.
