Plan B

A lack of confidence in the South Klondike highway led to cancelled ski touring plans, so I went for a look around the Wheaton instead. Several avalanches observed on the way down the Annie Lake road, but once in the 'wheaton proper' no avalanche activity observed. Snowpack is consistently 10-20cm of moist snow atop either a breakable crust (solar aspects only), then faceted snow. Sledding was predictable and decent. Initially sunny, but a high overcast from 1300. One of the snowbridges that parallels the bridge at KM36 has collapsed, I suspect the other will do so imminently - so heads up. Also the whoops heading into Tally-Ho are SAVAGE.
