Went up the ye old summit hill creek with two skiers and a snowshoer. Really nice day with only a brief moment of flat light. Views galore. Not much wind and temps felt steady, but when the sun did come out we baked! We found massive hoar frost crystals on the surface at most elevations, but much more prevalent down below 1200m. Snowpack felt very stable, with a hard thick crust 10-15cm down. Skiers reported better skiing than expected, with mostly soft snow all the way down. The snowshoer reported that snowshoeing sucks and life is suffering.
