It was a cold day to stay north but we charged the electric socks and hit the glaciers. Snowdepths averaged 250cm. 15-20cm of blower powder overlies firm, wind blown surfaces. Ski quality was excellent if you had the right wax! We experienced a short burst of light to moderate wind from the northeast. We anticipated windslabs but found only very small micropockets in immediate lee features. After a period of assessment, we felt comfortable skiing large, steep, alpine slopes. North winds were again blowing lightly on the ride home. We saw a lot of alpine and tree line terrain and observed no new avalanches.
