Blower pow at log cabin

alinehalliday49, Thursday 24th December, 2020 9:20AM

There was a lot of new snow at Log Cabin. You could barely make out skin tracks from people the day before. The light was pretty flat so we climbed to near the top of tree line and skied from there. The powder was the deepest we’ve ever seen on Log Cabin and we didn’t run into any wind affected snow on the top layer. You could feel the previous slab under about 30-50 cm of fresh powder. It snowed steadily all day long (10-15 Cm of new snow on the car by the end of the day) and the snow falling was pretty wet. Temperatures were between -5 and 0.

Weather Report

There was no wind for most of the day but it began to pick up to light wind around 330pm. 10-15 Cm of new snow on car by 415pm.
