Another Avalanche Crest

chrisrubens1, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

Back up Avalanche Crest for a lap. A lot of new snow, with no wind effect 30 to 50cm on top of the Nov 17 crust and 100+ on the Nov 5th crust. Evidence of large avalanche during storm cycle on the SW facing moraines on the way up, very large propagation, suspect on Nov 5th crust. (See photos.) We had a couple of un-supported pillows pop off on both the Nov 17th and Nov 5 (see Photo). Had a large settlement on a big planer slope dropping into Avalanche Crest proper, on the Nov 17th crust, with shooting cracks. Skiing was great but felt a bit spooky out there.
