10cms of fresh snow on top of a very supportive melt freeze crust. We ski'd conservative based on the series of reactive layers in the snowpack however we found good safe skiing in wide open slopes.
Compression test easy results revealed an upper reactive layer within the top 30cm of the snowpack and another layer in the moderate range approximately 60cms down from the surface of the snowpack.
Extended Column test Moderate results within the top 30cm of new snow on a melt freeze crust interface however we could not initiate the lower layer down 65cm during extended column testing.
Saw some shooting cracks and whumpfs on steep unsupported terrain (Convex Terrain). We ski'd lower angle and uniform (supported) terrain and had great boot top turns.
