Collie Attempt - Numerous Whumphs

<p>Mostly trying to save someone a long walk here. Attempted Collie today. Made it to the col but did not end up checking out the ridge. We had 21 whumphs leading up to the face in the flatter terrain after leaving the main track that heads to the Guy hut. after we started breaking trail. The whumphs had a weird high pitch sound, more like live rounds whizzing by. We made it to the col and chatted about our concerns about the strong solar and wet snow. We decided we’d push a bit further up the ridge and regroup to chat again. There was a large whumph and settlement that all 3 of us felt even while spaced out so we decided to call it with the warm temps, numerous whumphs and 2-3 previous slides on the face. General notes: It was really warm on the Wapta today, I can’t imagine the crust tomorrow will be enjoyable to ski. The Wapta was very busy, we saw around 50 people. Practically every peak and every traverse has a route and tracks. Fast travel time unlike a weekish ago. </p>
