Significant Loose Dry avalanche activity off the Headwall. We witnessed 5 in the space of 3 hours. Most ranging from sz 1-2, but one monster 2-3 coming off the cliffs from the peak of the headwall. No apparent reactivity on the slopes below the cliffs. On the ridge, where we were, snow pack seemed quite stable at and below treeline. 20-30 cm of creamy power on supportive layer. We did go about 70m above the treeline to 2470m where recent snow thinned to about 10 cm presumably due to wind transport. We poked around a bit but didn't see any slab formation, but weren't willing to go higher. Winds were light at and below treeline but were clearly strong at higher elevations.
