Big Whitepass Loop

Brad Halt, Wednesday 23rd October, 2024 9:33PM

We ripped a big tour of the Whitepass, covering a lot of ground on the east side of the road before heading up to Bryant Lake and travelling into Summit Creek to Little Cham. Conditions are all over the place, with a lot of wind effect and crust on all aspects. Good snow was found up high in sheltered terrain on both sides of the road, and the east has really filled in over the last couple of weeks. Concerning pockets of windslab definitely exist on north-facing convexities, and we had on whumpf up high on an isolated northern feature.
