We had to work hard for it, but Bijoux really delivered on the snow. 100cm from recent storms with a only few old sled tracks down 30cm. This made for tough trail breaking and a lot of stucks but was worth the effort! We played in the openings below tree line where the snow was very soft and amazingly deep. The last storm interface seems to be bonding well but higher up slope strong winds continue to blow the available snow into deep wind slabs. There are also signs of stubborn persistent weaknesses under all this storm snow from the dry spell earlier this month. These are a mostly likely a problem on wind loaded features or shallow transitions where they may be more easily triggered.
