Frosty Mtn approach

Horrid trail conditions below the golden larches meadow. Plenty of snow but under tree cover, which was everywhere, rock, roots, soil and ice abounded.
Snow was quite nice, skinning and skiing on a supportive crust on the meadow. Skinned up to the lookout viewing all of Frosty Mtn.
The bowls look skiable but do not know the ridge conditions. NE and N cornices forming. Snow depth variable, 40cm on wind exposed features to 60cm in lee terrain.
The ski out was even worse, gave up with 3km to go and boot packed out. Finished by headlamp.
Weather Report
A few gusts of light wind noted @ 1400hrs but otherwise calm. No wind transport witnessed on the ridges. Light intermittent snowfall began @ 1430 on the descent.
