Soggy Seaton
Northwest Inland
AvCan Northwest , Thursday 5th December, 2024 4:15PM
We had a soggy day in Seaton. Snow is wet and makes for some tricky riding conditions. At 1550m the total height of snow was 90cm and foot penetration was near the bottom of the snowpack. At noon the air temperature was around +3C. We observed many wet avalanches up to size 2.5 from previous days. These avalanches are likely 24 - 72 hours old and were triggered by Monday's rapid warm up and rain. Let's hope for some cooler temps and snow!
