Tryst and environs

Spent the day on the classics in the Tryst area. Tryst chutes: approaching ski resort conditions with the holiday traffic.
Tryst larches, north opposite the chutes: Punched in the up track to the ridge. Surprisingly variable conditions on this slope which I usually expect to be more sheltered. 10-30cms on hard wind crust in more open areas most of the way down the slope, with pockets of deeper sheltered pow in thicker trees. Difficult to commit to aggressive skiing with the variability.
Superslope: appears to have run in the size 2 range during the storm cycle. Nice skiing for 1/3 of the way, death cookies and avy debris next 1/3, tight Christmas trees last 1/3.
