Video peak was busy today. We were the third group to ski down the face and 2 more group were skinning up the hospital bowl as we left. Most of the day was sunny with calm to light wind.
The bowl below video peak was wind affected with a thin breakable crust. SkiPen was +/-10 cm.
CT test results on video peak were
CTM15 (RP) down 28
CHT25 (SP) down 70
We did not observe any signs of instability on our up and there was no cracking around our ski track while skiing down. The snow on the way down was very variable. The top 2/3 of video peak was good (felt like skiing cream cheese) but the last 1/3 was wind affected with a breakable crust.
We skied hospital gully on our way back. The snow in the trees was powder with no signs of instability.
