Warm conditions with inversion in the alpine, lots of sun and wind effect observed all over the Blunt range. Skied lower elevation powder into creek bottom of the blunt Q-ball area. Skier triggered a 2.5 wind loaded pocket on a 35-40 degree south east slope in the alpine. The avalanche ran approximately 350m with approximately a varied wind loaded crown depth from 1m to 20cm, observed from second skier and bottom of slide. Slide over an ice crust possibly the Jan or Dec crust. Skier partial burial up to the thighs with a dense moist slow moving texture that came to a slow heavy stop, skis did not release and had to be dug out. No injuries.
