Skied Video North trail at Rogers Pass Ski Resort today! Pretty lame there isn’t a chairlift going up Balu yet but the staff in Discovery Centre Chalet are absolute beauties. Most of everything you can think of has been absolutely shrelped. Cheops north, STS, Video south and north, 8812, etc. You can think of any line and bet it has been ripped to shreds. However, there are some nuggets that have been reset in some certain locations. (i.e. Bruins Glacier 👀) The picture of 2 beautiful individuals bootbacking up the first pitch of Video Peak tells you the sad state the skin track was in at that time.(we were quick to follow up the slog). Today was Bay-Watch hot out there. Temps reaching a sweltering 2 degrees in Hospital Bowl but it felt hotter with the sun. Lots and lots of evidence of wet slabs and loose wet avalanches on all aspects that have had sun on it. The picture posted was of the ridge coming off Ursus Minor looking from Video North (West aspect).

Snow conditions were: Crusty, Powder, Wet. Weather conditions were: Sunny, Warm. We rode: Alpine slopes, Steep slopes. We avoided: Sunny slopes.

Avalache Conditions: Rapid temperature rise to near zero degrees or wet surface snow.
