<p>Obs from an AST 2 field day to Miller CK area. Weather was -1c with Strong West winds and cler sky. Extensive transport and wind effect in Alpine and TL areas. Test profile at TL 1600m South asp showed height of snow 180cm. 40 cm of settled recent storm snow. The Early Jan persistant weak layers down 80cm were easily observed crusts and facets. Test results showed easy to mod Compression results down 20cm within the storm snow, and hard compression and an Extended Column Test propagating at 28 hits on the Jan crust facet layer. The observed winds are creating a touchy windslab on east aspects at TL and Alp, that are easily triggered by skiers, and natural triggers</p>
