<p>BV AvSar Training Day, Weather was stormy, mod-strong SW winds, light snowfalls, 5cm storm snow, -3c. Fresh windslabs building on lee E asp TL and Alp, this sits on the 171214 rain crust, with some small surface hoar. This crust was present up to our high point of 1650m. Overall upper and midpack is very well settled. The deeper Oct crust is present near the base of the snowpack, giving hard, sudden shears in compression and extended column tests. No Natural activity, but vis poor. Skicuts produced touchy windslabs to size 1, variable depth in local features.</p>
