Iago/Zupjok Ridge

Tried to find some mellow terrain around Iago to explore during high avy conditions. Instead found 50+ cm of storm snow that made travel very difficult. Gave up at the Iago/Zupjok Ridge and had to ski back down our skin track as skiing anything under 40deg was impossible due to ski pen.

Snow conditions were: Wet, Deep powder. Weather conditions were: Stormy, Cloudy. We rode: Mellow slopes, Dense trees. We avoided: Alpine slopes, Steep slopes, Convex slopes, Open trees. Riding quality was terrible.

Avalache Conditions: 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifitng, or rain in the last 48 hours. Slab avalanches today or yesterday.
