Fraser MIN Day

<p>Quick tour up at Fraser to work on MIN field skills. Thick freeze/thaw crust has developed over the past 2 weeks which saw the top 1-5cm melting throughout the day. Variable snow depth which ranged from dirt on south facing ridges to over 150cm on northeast aspects. Test pit dug around 1100m on northeast aspect. Top 1m saw multiple significant ice layers an a slight persistent weak layer around 75cm from the surface. There were no reaction for both extended column and compression test. Snow has significant moisture throughout the top 1m. </p>
