Tasting Fear - ice

<p>**Approach is packed snow, not icy yet.
**Someone punched a trail straight down into the avi bowl. There is a much safer way through trees on the downstream side. Using the trees limits your exposure to a quick traverse below the bowl. Later in the season a herd trail in the bowl may lead to someone triggering the bowl plus a vastly increased time exposed as a person ascends the bowl. Please use the trees and avoid the descent into the bowl.
**No signs of any avi activity as you cross the other avi drainages on the trail.
**Left side easy ice has a tricky start and some wet ice higher up.
**Main falls left pillar has snapped and fallen. It actually helps make a,wider than typical belay stance.
**Middle line is dry and can be lead but it takes a little work to get good screws. Better screws in the groove right of center.
**Right side of the right pillar is good and steep wirh some dripping ice forming just right of the pillar.
**Getting on to the right pillar is tricky because although the pillar is anchored to the rock,, down low has yet to fully form. Watch you feet don't kick the foming ice away.
