Skiing around Fang yesterday. Last weeks rainfall made it to ridgetop. Ski quality heavily affected by the crust below 1700m. Decent up high, but a bit grabby.
At 1750m on SE aspect, 125cm HS, there was 2 very thin breakable crusts down 10 and 20 cms. The main crust which was 4 cms thick was down 30cms. Saw sudden planar results on this crust on the 21st tap. No natural or skier triggered activity around but suspect this crust will be more of a player with a bigger load/more cohesive slab above it.
